Workflow

Workflow is an embedded functionality of the Sage ERP X3 Process Software. This advanced feature permits companies to automate the flow of information within and outside a business based on company-specific work practices and procedures for handling important and exceptional events.

 

Unlike traditional systems that come with pre-defined workflow processes, the extensive parameterization available within Sage ERP X3 makes it possible for companies to define any business event and condition to initiate workflow messaging.

 

For example, Sage ERP X3 enables manufacturers to automatically route urgent work orders to the shop floor for immediate attention. A production manager is alerted immediately by e-mail and needs only to double-click on an icon attached to the message to view and take immediate action. Messages can even be routed to customers and suppliers, alerting them immediately to information such as the contents of a particular shipment or potential delivery delays.

 

Sage ERP X3 users can send information, route documents and make decisions using any MAPI-compliant e-mail messaging system. This makes it easy to automate traditional paper-based and task-intensive processes such as purchase requisition signatory approvals and credit manager reviews of orders placed on credit hold.
