Sage ERP X3 Process supports a variety of popular platforms, including Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems, with high performance benchmarks regardless of the choice. It functions in either client/server mode with a Windows interface or e-business mode with a web browser interface. Database choices include Oracle on Unix and Linux, and either SQL Server or Oracle on Windows.

This allows the software to match the computing environments that our mid-market clients are already familiar with, or the ones they would most likely adopt when changing business systems.

Sage ERP X3 Process also provides a browser-based client designed to support both company-wide and extended e-business applications. The interface supports a web server-based n-tier architecture, standard protocols and the most recent technologies, such as Java, JavaScript, HTML and XML. Sage ERP X3 is fully Web Services compliant and supports all the standards (XML, UDDI, WSDL, SOAP, etc.) as part of the development toolset.

Sage ERP X3 performs well in any implementation, large or small. System performance is tested in Sage R&D labs, as well as by its technology partners (such as IBM and Microsoft). Sage development centers also consider multiple computing environments − client/server and Internet − and benchmark critical system functions based on various data and transaction volumes, user counts and hardware power indices. Sage ERP X3 benchmarks up to 1,500 users and customer implementations have ranged from five to over 1,000 users.
