Web-Native ArchitectureSage ERP X3 Discrete is one of the few enterprise software suites on the market to be available in both client/server and Internet mode.
Its SOA/Web-native design offers tremendous savings and benefits to businesses, particularly for reducing IT infrastructure costs and expanding business opportunities.
Because the client need only be able to run a browser, the cost for both the machine and communication lines from remote sites and users is minimal. Users can have worldwide access to Sage ERP X3 Discrete from any machine on the Internet running Microsoft Internet Explorer as the browser. For example, traveling sales reps can access the software from a customer site or a web café, check on a customer's order, stock availability or other information. Further, software version management for the client part of the application is eliminated.
With this design, businesses can also more easily collaborate with key business partners by allowing them direct, secured access to Sage ERP X3 system functions. For example, a manufacturer's distributor can log into the manufacturer's Sage ERP X3 system and use the Product Configurator to build a custom product for one of their clients. The manufacturer can immediately assess the new order's impact on production, and provide an expected delivery date for the order.
