Rapidly Growing Craft Brewery Selects
Sage ERP X3 Process

Pittsburgh, PA – June 12, 2007

Adonix, a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to mid-market companies, today announced that Magic Hat Brewery (www.magichat.net) selected the Sage ERP X3 Process suite to improve communication between and functionality within different segments of the organization.

Located in South Burlington, VT, Magic Hat is an eccentric craft brewery that distributes a variety of year-round and seasonal beers in 17 states and the District of Columbia. The company employs more than 120 people. With a growth rate of 30 percent per year over the past few years, Magic Hat found their legacy system was no longer sufficient and the need for a reliable, scalable solution that could provide better business information arose.

Seeking a fully-integrated solution, the Magic Hat selection team chose Sage ERP X3 for its business intelligence features including its dashboards and user portal which provide user-defined, actionable, up-to-the-minute graphical representations of key statistical information that can help management to quickly react to changing business conditions.

According to Scott Vanderveer, IT Manager, Magic Hat experienced difficulty in retrieving mission-critical information from the legacy system, which was highly dependent on Excel spreadsheets. “In the company’s early days, this system would have been adequate, but with the growth we’re experiencing, we needed something more,” he said. “Sage ERP X3 will provide greater visibility into all aspects of our business, improving our forecasting and planning activities.” Additionally, Magic Hat expects to better manage quality control and traceability requirements and increase efficiency by eliminating a cumbersome data entry process involving manual entry of redundant information.
